The Special Operations Candidate Development (SOCDEV) program is an elite Human Performance training curriculum designed to physically and mentally prepare the dedicated few for the rigors of U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) selection. SOCDEV carefully interviews and enrolls only those who are truly focused on enlisting and are adamant about pursuing a successful career within the special operations community of their respective military branch.

SOCDEV implements a thorough and unrivaled scientific approach to performance training for all aspiring and current special operations candidates. Before the journey even begins, our students understand that they must first think of themselves as the primary weapon system in order to establish a solid foundation on which to build on.  Our curriculum has successfully and strategically broken down important subject matter, what we call “physical performance ammunition”, in order for our students to understand how to attain and maintain true optimum performance.

Both candidates and aspiring candidates will spend numerous hours swimming, running, rucking, and learning about strength and conditioning in the weightroom. All performance training is custom designed specific to the candidate and or aspiring candidate. When not focusing on performance training, our future warriors will be learning about what it takes to get to the elite level.

The following subject matter topics will be covered throughout the different phases of training:

  • Energy systems specific to training
  • Movement patterns and mobility
  • Body mechanics specific to training
  • Nutrition
  • Recovery
  • Injury prevention
  • Breaking down and segmenting the selection process specific to the candidate
  • Neuroscience specific to mental capacities in relation to both physical and mental stress

SOCDEV prides itself on reverse engineering numerous selection pipelines, along with providing the best knowledge in Exercise Science and Physiology. We however realize that without the true “why”, all of this is useless. The most valuable tool that our candidates learn and take with them before joining the ranks of the elite is selflessness, true purpose,  mental toughness, and understanding true sacrifice.
